WAITROSE EASTER CHOCOLATE NESTS

This is the quickest of recipes which you will find in Waitrose Weekend Easter Baking Special (using cacao powder as well as milk chocolate). These delicious Easter Chocolate Nests are so easy to make and so are ideal for making with the kids over the Easter weekend – particularly if you are trying to find indoor activities due to the rainy forecasts! These ca be uses with cornflakes or rice krispies.

Ingredients

75g milk chocolate broken into pieces
3 tbsp golden syrup
20g Food Thoughts Cacao Powder
50g slightly salted butter
100g of cornflakes or rice krispies
30 mini eggs (about 100g)

Instructions

Line a muffin tin with 10 muffin cases.
Place the chocolate, syrup, cacao powder and butter in a bowl over a saucepan of simmering water and allow to melt.
Mix into the cornflakes or rice krispies until even coated.
Spoon into the muffin cases and make an indent in the centre. Place 3 mini eggs into each next and chill until firm.
COOKS TIP: Best eaten at room temperature on the day they are made. Alternatively, keep chilled then return to room temperature before serving.
